Manchester Candle Makers has always been about creating beautiful home fragrance with consideration for the materials I use, how my products are made and what happens to them after the candle has finished.

I hand-pour my candles in small batches in Manchester using 100% natural soy wax and wooden wicks, with fragrances chosen to create distinctive scents for your home.

But for me, the vessel matters just as much as what's inside it.

Pottery made to be kept

My refillable pottery vessels are designed by Manchester Candle Makers and individually handmade by a local potter in Salford.

Rather than treating the vessel as disposable packaging, I've designed my candle collection so the pottery can be kept and used again.

Once your candle has finished, simply clean the vessel and drop in one of my ready-made soy wax candle refills.

Keep the pottery. Change the fragrance. Light it all over again.

Small-batch making

I make my candles, wax melts and home fragrance products in small batches rather than mass producing them.

It allows me to keep a close eye on what I'm making, introduce seasonal fragrances in smaller quantities and create a collection that feels considered rather than disposable.

Packaging with less fuss

I keep my packaging simple and considered, using recyclable kraft cardboard boxes and avoiding unnecessary layers wherever possible.

I even use water-based ink for my Manchester Candle Makers packaging stamp — a small detail, but one of the many choices I make when deciding how my products are presented.

Orders and gifts are packed by me in Manchester, ready to give or enjoy at home.

Handmade close to home

Keeping part of my production close to home matters to me.

My pottery is individually handmade in Salford, while my candles and wax products are hand-poured by me in Manchester.

It means Manchester Candle Makers remains what I always intended it to be — a small independent business making beautiful things with care.
