My Story

Trisha McGlynn Alexander Park 1970s

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read at little bit more about my small business.

I'm Trisha the founder of Manchester Candle Makers.

I was born and raised in Manchester. My childhood was an extremely happy one and school holidays were spent ankle deep in rivers and mud (I was rather wild)

Exploring new crafts and gaining new skills has always been a passion of mine. I'm at my happiest when working outside or simply enjoying being surrounded by nature.

Always taking my inspiration from the outdoors to capture scents that have the power to evoke and unlock so many emotions.

My memories serve as personal motivation for my candles, scented home accessories, brand aesthetics, stories and of course scents.

All my candles and wax melts are handmade in the village of Mossley, on the outskirts of Manchester. I enjoy experimenting with different combinations and pouring wax in small batches.

For me, the scent from a candle carries more than just a pleasant aroma. A scent has the power to capture a moment in time and can bring back fond memories you thought you had forgotten.

I am now based at Woodend Mill on the foothills of the Pennines. I occupy a ground floor studio space with high ceilings. This space provides lots of natural light and high quality easy-to-clean work benches. Perfect for my workshops and collaborations with other local artisans.

"Thanks for being part of my adventure and helping my new business grow. I appreciate all of you my lovely customers"
