So, why do I have to burn my candle for 2/3 hours the first time I light it?

We recommend burning your candle for 2/3 hours to achieve an even melt pool across the top, this will encourage the candle to burn correctly and avoid the ‘tunnelling’ effect which not only wastes wax, it makes the candle less effective.

Why do you recommend trimming the wick to 5mm?

We recommend trimming the wick to 5mm to enable the candle to burn more effectively. If you don’t trim the wick, it may burn quickly, or you may end up with a blobby wick that emits smoke.

Are all your candles handmade?

All our candles are handmade in Gt Manchester, by Trisha and Kev.

Why shouldn’t I burn my candle for more than 3 hours?

We recommend not to burn your candle for more than 3 hours as the jar may become hot.
