Soy Candle & Ceramic Vessel Collaboration with Shelley Wood!

I'm so excited to announce an incredible new workshop in collaboration with the talented local potter, Shelley Wood. Shelley is a fine arts ceramics, master potter. She creates the most beautiful, hand-crafted pottery pieces, and now, she’s opening the doors to her cozy studio for a one-of-a-kind workshop!

What to Expect

Over two magical dates, you’ll get the chance to create your very own 200ml ceramic candle jar from scratch and fill it with your personal candle creation.

Date 1: Craft & Glaze Your Candle Jar

In the first session, you’ll work alongside Shelly to handcraft your candle jar from raw clay. Shelley will guide you through the process, teaching you how to shape your jar with expert tips on technique. Once your jar is crafted, you’ll move on to choosing the glazing where you can choose colours and styles to personalise your creation. Shelly will be right there to help you choose the best glaze. She will glaze it personally for you before it goes into the kiln to be fired. Whether you’re new to pottery or a seasoned crafter, this hands-on experience is fun for everyone.

Date 2: Pour Your Candle

In the second session, I’ll join you! After your jar has been fired, you’ll return to Shelley's beautiful studio, and I will personally guide you through the art of candle making. You’ll have the chance to explore a wide selection of natural scents, blending your favourite fragrances to create a candle that’s uniquely yours. I use soy wax and cotton wicks for a natural, eco-friendly finish.

Once your custom jar is glazed and ready, we’ll pour the candle, and you’ll get to take it home on the day—completely finished and ready to enjoy.
